A surf trip down to Chile, and a little investigating, helped Kyle to learn that the 6 month CD from his local mega-bank was funding the development of a coal fired power plant. Check out the video and learn what you can do to help.

Hey guys! I just finished NSSA Nationals at Salt Creek and Lower Trestles. The waves at Salt Creek for the first part of the contest were really bad but the thing that kept me going was that if I made it through a couple of rounds there I knew I could surf Lower Trestles with only four people out!

First Air in Women's Competition - 2009 NSSA Nationals

Lakey Peterson launches a frontside air at the 2009 NSSA Nationals

Towards the end of her first wave of the 2009 NSSA Final, Lakey Peterson launched (and landed!) this frontside air. Aside from helping her to earn a 9.0 on the wave, Lakey went down as the first girl to ever to pull an air in a Nationals competition.

Lakey took down defending girls champion Courtney Conlogue on her way to a first place finish.

Dear and Yonder, a surf film profiling a diverse cast of water-women, kicks off a series of west coast dates tonight in Encinitas at the La Paloma Theater. The tour swings through Ventura on July 18th where Captain Liz Clark will be on hand to give a slide show, prior to the start of the film.

The Film Tour Finale of The Present

The Film Tour Finale of The Present

After showing his film at surf communities up and down the west and east coasts, Thomas Campbell brought things back to where they started with a final showing of The Present at the Patagonia Cardiff store.

This film is now available on DVD so if you haven't had the chance to see it yet, pick up a copy and enjoy.
