7'8" Rocket Sled

Walking into FCD Headquarters is kind of like going into a candy store, only without the candy and the pleasant aroma. There are racks of new surfboards, all different types of models, finishes, fin setups - you name it. I pulled down a couple of surfboards that caught my eye and hit them up with the Flip.

The surfboard featured in this video is a 7'8" Rocket Sled with custom coloring on the deck and a sanded finish. With a thickness of 2 3/4" and a width of 21 1/8", this surfboard is easy to paddle and loves to go fast!

Mercedes Maidana drops into a big one at Waimea on 12/9/2009. Meti has been testing our suits for awhile in Chile (she ran an R4 at Lobos) and Hawaii and so far the word is is that our Women's Patagonia R2 wetsuits work great in big surf!

You guys rock. My brother and I live in New York. We picked up a couple R2s before heading down to NZ for November. It's by far the warmest and most comfortable wetsuit either of us have ever worn.

The Best Neoprene Vest I've Ever Had

Mercedes "Meti" Maidana is a big wave charger from Argentina. You may remember her from a video we posted of her towing down in Chile.

Merecedes sent us some feedback on her Patagonia Women's R1 Vest, saying:

"This vest is the best neoprene vest I've ever had and it's very form fitting."

Octo in Indo

I bought a 6'10" Octo model from you guys a year or so ago, and thought you'd like an update...I spent a few months this summer camping and traveling throughout Indonesia, and found some pretty great isolated waves by going slow and keeping to the coast. The board served me well and hopefully will continue to provide lots of enjoyment over the years.

You can see the board behind our tent in one of the photos, and the wave we found we camped at for 3 days and never saw another surfer except some friendly fisherman, that's the wave on the first day, and last day.

Thanks for the great board, and I'm sure to come back to you guys for my next one.
