Rocket Sled Custom, Epoxy, High Performance Surfboard from Fletcher Chouinard Designs

ROCKET SLED SURFBOARD

Built for down-the-line speed, and old-school highline carves. We maximize paddling ability without sacrificing carving performance by doming the deck and keeping the rails thin. The increased width gets you up on a plane even on mushy days. Not limited to surfing off the tail, the wide point is ahead of center so you can ride further forward or scoot up in the tube. All sizes have panel V’s for easy rail-to-rail transitions. The 6’5” and 6’8” have double concave in the tail. An easy to surf, point-break machine.

"Hawaii is in the midst of a series of south swells, and this morning I rode this gift of a wave! Overhead plus a few feet, from the left side of Cunha's all the way through outside Queen's, and ending up inside Canoes in front of the surfboard racks! The 5-fin Bonzer Rocket Sled you made for me a bunch of years ago remains one of my favorite boards. I do not know if I could have made that wave on another board." - Kevin Ho
"I love my 6'8" Rocket Sled! I 'm writing to help others. I'm 5'10", 165lbs. and learned to surf in CA on a single fin in the seventies. I like to draw out my turns (no hopping), catch the high line and go fast. The Rocket Sled is pitch perfect for this type of surfing. I transitioned from a 6'8" Parmenter stubb to the Rocket Sled, and yes, there is a definite connection between the two. FCD, keep up the good work with the environment and keep surfing. P.S. The Rocket Sled is the most durable board I've ever owned. It may be awhile before I need another one. I guess that's the idea. No, I wasn't paid to write this." - Paul S.
"I am another one who can vouch for the RS being a great combination of easy to paddle, fast, reasonably maneuverable and a lot of fun especially if you like to walk forward on the board to make fast sections. I am 40, never was a shredder, more into carving, and this board is perfect for all that. I am 5'11", 145lbs. Got it in the Venice CA store but am riding it in Sri Lanka where I live for now -- chest to head high reef break mostly." - Robert
